
Educator, Principal, and Therapist
Rabbi Yaacov Sebbag, LMSW, is a veteran educator with an impressively broad educational background. He previously served as the principal at Darchai Menachem Boys School in Brooklyn, later at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway, and is currently at Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh.
As principal at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway, Rabbi Sebbag led the charge for systematic school turnaround and revitalization.
Rabbi Sebbag holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, with additional coursework in Special Education, from Western Governors University. In addition to these qualifications, he has completed the Harvard Certificate in School Management and Leadership. He is also certified in the Orton Gillingham method for teaching reading in both Hebrew and English.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Rabbi Sebbag conducts workshops and offers coaching for schools, parents, and camps globally. He also contributes his expertise as a board member for the Elementary School Standards Evaluation Committee.
